Infant/Toddler Caregiving:
A Guide to Culturally Sensitive Care

Description:
Culturally sensitive care contributes to the development of a child's self-esteem, social competence, language, and intellectual competence. Seven articles written by experts in infant/toddler development, multicultural education, and cultural sensitivity are based
on three unifying themes: cultural diversity is good and enriching for everyone; cultural sensitivity is an ongoing process that continues to develop over time; and support of a child's full participation in his or her home culture is vital to optimal development.
