Understanding Children's Behavior: Supporting the Individual Needs of Infants and Toddlers A PITC Training Session
Format: 3 hour session, 30-40 participants
The session focuses on recognizing and understanding individual and developmental issues underlying the emotional messages and behavior of infants and toddlers in group care. Concepts and training strategies for helping care teachers understand and respond appropriately to infants and toddlers are introduced. Materials are discussed that are designed to assist with recognizing the possible reasons for children’s behaviors and identifying strategies appropriate for working with different behaviors.
