The Host Organization is responsible for arranging training facilities, obtaining the necessary equipment and notifying participants.
As part of the agreement to receive PITC Partners for Quality services the Host Organization is responsible for the following:
Designating an administrative staff person (the program director, education coordinator, supervisor, or lead teacher) to work collaboratively with the PITC Infant/Toddler Specialist as the Host Contact Person,
Having Host Contact discuss your program's readiness to benefit from PITC services with the PITC Infant/Toddler Specialist Coordinator to ensure, that to the extent possible, a PTIC Infant/Toddler Specialist is assigned who meets the language and cultural needs of your program.
Having Host Contact person arrange staff participation by providing either release time away from caregiving responsibilities during work hours and/or in the evening or on weekends for a minimum of 4 hours of scheduled training twice a month.
Rescheduling a cancelled training within 2 weeks if a training session must be cancelled because of some unforeseen circumstances.
Having Host Contact make copies of training materials for staff participating in the training,
Having Host Contact participate in training and technical assistance activities on a regular basis,
Having Host Contact develop an action plan collaboratively with the PITC Trainer and staff to implement changes in program policies, procedures and practices to effect desired program improvements,
Having Host Contact complete Training and Technical Assistance Evaluations and collect Evaluations from participating staff and forward them monthly to the PITC Infant/Toddler Specialist Coordinator,
Having Host Contact provide opportunities for the PITC Infant/Toddler Specialist to observe caregiving and provide technical assistance in the classrooms 1-2 hours a month,
Having Host Contact participate in Post-Celebration and complete Evaluation Summary Report.
If cancellations of training result in a lapse in training of more than 30 days, the Training and Technical Assistance plan may be terminated and the program may be placed on a waiting list for future PITC services.
All of the policies presented on this website may be modified based on the availability of funding and the number of requests from programs for assistance.
