Academy for Family Child Care (FCC) and Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Providers
The Academy focuses on high-quality responsive relationship-based infant/toddler care practices in home-based settings. Participants benefit from interactive learning with peers and PITC faculty and resources.
The Academy for FCC and FFN Providers offers high-quality, engaging sessions with PITC faculty, featuring opportunities for peer learning and exchange in small group breakout sessions. Each Academy is centered around PITC’s caregiving approach, grounded in 40 years of research and real-world application. Our training goes beyond theory to provide practical, immediately applicable strategies that transform daily routines and interactions into the heart of care and child-centered curriculum.
The Academy is held virtually in the evening hours with simultaneous interpretation and resources in Chinese, English, and Spanish.
The PITC Team provides responsive support with the online application process, zoom functions, and logistics to support access and engagement for all.
Most importantly, the Academy provides a community of learners' model where FCC and FFN providers from across California learn from and with each other during the sessions facilitated by PITC.
