The Module I Trainer's Manual provides easy-to-follow guidelines for effectively presenting materials in the module. Annotated lesson plans outline adult learning activities, support materials, and video content. Handouts are also included. The second edition has been revised to include updated information and guidance on understanding and supporting infants and toddlers social-emotional development. A new section on infant mental health has been added. There is a strong emphasis on including children with disabilities or other special needs in infant/toddler care programs. Information on mixed age groups and family child care has been woven into the lessons. Elements of reflective practice have been emphasized in the trainers notes and discussion questions.
