Pilar Fort is a PITC Facilitator at WestEd. She currently supports the PITC Trainer Institute. For more than twenty years, she has promoted and utilized PITC training system in a variety of infant and toddlers early care and education settings during her long career as an Early Childhood Educator.

Prior to joining WestEd, Ms. Fort was an Early Childhood Care and Development Advisor for Whole Child International at a USAID funded project. She is a professional with more than 25 years’ experience in program design and implementation, coaching and mentoring technical staff and practitioners to strengthen their capacity to provide quality care for children to reach their full potential.

She is an accomplished manager, trainer and consultant –at national and international levels-- providing technical advice for child and community development programs. Engaged in international efforts advancing diplomacy and best practices for education with leading experts in Latin America and Europe.

Ms. Fort received a BA in early childhood education and an MA in liberal studies from Duke University, a certificate by UCLA Head Start Management Fellowships, a certificate by The Irving B. Harris Infant Studies of Erikson Institute, and a trainer certification from the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (WestEd).
