Hello! Thank you for logging on to learn more about my journey in Early Childhood Education. My name is Lisa Martin and I currently serve as a WestEd Infant Toddler Specialist for the PITC and Coach for CA Teaching Pyramid. In addition, I serve as an Early Childhood Consultant with experience as a certified CLASS Observer and Classroom Assessor for ITERS, ECERS and FCCERS.
I discovered my passion for children while working in a "Mother's Day Out" Program in Austin, Texas. Within a short period of time, I went from floater to teaching assistant to lead teacher... to school. YES!! Though I hold a BA in Journalism, I knew furthering my personal professional development through formal education was necessary to bring best practices for young children in learning environments. Since making this decision, I have earned my MBA and Doctorate in Education.
My passion for young children, perseverance and focus on sharpening my expertise have opened doors for me to provide care, technical assistance, training, mentoring and coaching over more than 30 years.
