My name is Donna Mojarro, though many know me as Ms. Donna at ECEC. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 20 years, and I am passionate about building meaningful relationships with children and their families while creating welcoming, inclusive environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

I currently serve as the Coordinator of Education and Operations, a role I began in September 2023. I started my journey at ECEC in August 2007 and bring experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Prior to this, I worked at Harborside School’s preschool center from 2002 to 2007, where I began my career in early childhood education. While I initially considered working with primary-aged children, I became deeply interested in early development and understanding how learning begins from the very start. That curiosity led me to pursue ECE coursework and ultimately shaped my professional path. I am especially grateful to now serve in a leadership role where I mentor staff and student employees, sharing the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from UC San Diego and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University, with an anticipated completion date of June 2026. I am also a certified Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Trainer, having completed all four modules: Social-Emotional Growth and Socialization, Group Care, Learning and Development, and Culture, Family, and Providers.

I was honored to receive the 2022–2023 UCSD Exemplary Staff Award, which reflects my commitment to supporting children, families, and educators in high-quality early learning environments.
