In 2004 I represented WestEd PITC as a professional growth mentor for the San Diego County Office of Education.
Project MENTOR was a federally funded grant "Meeting Early Education Needs Through OutReach".
As a mentor, I offered individualized on-site training to family child care and center-based early education providers.

I am currently a Child Development adjunct faculty for the San Diego Community College District.

I have owned and directed The Children's NEST, a dual language toddler community, for over 20 years.

I began my work as an Infant/Toddler trainer in 1985 (both in Spanish and English) for migrant education in California and private child care centers in CA, NE, CO, and TX.

I established The Children's Nest toddler program in San Diego county in 1983 and have always promoted exposure to both English and Spanish in this educational care community.

I studied the Reggio approach with the PITC group in Italy and participated in the RIE basic training with Magda Gerber.

I received my preschool teaching diploma in Mexico City and a B.A. in Bilingual Education from SDSU.
I have an M.Ed. in Infant Education from Loyola College in Maryland and the Assistants to Infancy diploma from MISD.

I was awarded the Child Development Program Director Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
