Lisa Duerr is currently a Child Development Consultant for the Children and Families Commission (First 5 California). She is the contract manager for the Early Education Effectiveness Exchange (E4) which provides training and technical assistance to Child Signature Program participant; works in collaboration with the California Department of Education (CDE) in the implementation of the Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge; and represents First 5 CA on the Statewide Screening Collaborative, CSEFEL and the California Head Start State Collaboration Office Advisory committees.

Previously, Duerr was a Child Development Consultant for CDE in the Quality Improvement Office of the Child Development Division and monitored Infant/Toddler contracts including PITC, Beginning Together and the California Infant/Toddler Curriculum Framework. She also provided training and technical assistance and monitoring to the California School Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program for expectant and parenting public school students and their children. In addition, she is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education for American River College in Sacramento.

Duerr holds a MA degree in Human Development/Leadership in Education and Human Services/Supervision and Administration from Pacific Oaks College and a BS degree in Human Development from UC Davis. She is PITC and Beginning Together certified and holds a Children’s Center Supervision Permit.
