In collaboration with the California Department of Education, Early Learning and Care Division and local agencies, Partners for Quality offers regional seminars on California's Infant/Toddler Learning & Development System. The seminars focus on publications by the California Department of Education, Early Learning and Care Division and are designed to support continuous improvement efforts of infant/toddler programs. The seminars will help participants to:
- Understand the five components of the California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development System;
- Understand the importance, characteristics, and benefits of high quality infant/toddler care;
- Deepen knowledge of infant and toddler learning and development; and
- Plan effective infant/toddler curriculum

California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations
This seminar will have a focus on infant and toddler learning and development. The foundations describe competencies infants and toddlers typically attain during the birth-to-three-year period. Participants will explore CDE’s Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations, DVDs, and related material.

California Infant/Toddler Curriculum Framework
This seminar will help early care and education providers to Become familiar with the California Infant/Toddler Curriculum Framework as a means of supporting the ongoing cycle of observing, documenting, reflecting, and implementing appropriate curriculum.
California Infant/Toddler Leaning and Development Program Guidelines
This seminar will present information about how to provide high-quality early care and education, including recommendations for program policies, day-to-day practices, and the curriculum planning process that will improve program services to all infants and toddlers. Participants will explore and become familiar with CDE’s Infant/Toddler Program Guidelines, related DVDs, and Guidelines workbook as a resource to providing quality care in centers, family child care homes, and kith and kin care settings.
