Bobbie holds a Masters Degree from Pacific Oaks College. Her more than 35 years experience in early care and education includes working as a family child care provider, providing direct services as a teacher for infants and toddlers, directing a large Infant toddler program in Southern California and managing the Quality Enhancement Projects (QEP) department for a California Resource and Referral agency. Ms. Edwards has also worked as an Early Intervention Specialist with teen mothers and was an adjunct faculty member at Glendale Community College for over 10 years. Prior to joining WestEd, Bobbie served as an Infant Toddler Specialist for the Head Start Quality Improvement Center in Region 9.

She designed and delivered technical assistance to Early Head Start programs in Southern California, Nevada, Hawaii and Arizona in areas of curriculum development, reflective supervision, Early Head Start transitions, Early Head Start performance evaluations, and home based services. She also designed and delivered training at a variety of national, regional and area events with a focus on brain development, temperament, early literacy, individualizing curriculum, administration, and family child care as well as PITC training.
