From 1992 to 2004 I provided Part C services to infants and toddlers with special needs. I participated in evaluations and assessments of children between the ages of birth and three who are suspected of having developmental delays.

Beginning in 1999 and through 2004, I severed as the Education and Disabilities Manager for our Early Head Start Program. I developed and implemented the frame work for our infant/toddler curriculum and I provide ongoing training in child development to our home visitors.

In July of 2004 I moved to Hawaii where I am employed by Child and Family Service, Kauai Head Start. I serve as the Family Advocate for 37, 3 and 4 years and their families.

I have also provided training and technical assistance to center based child care providers and family child care providers. In 1997 I was approved as a Connecticut Charts a Course Trainer. This training is coordinated with CDA competencies and prepares the participants for obtaining their CDA.

I began my career in the field of early childhood
as a preschool teacher and then later as a head teacher for infants and toddlers. I was also the director of a child care center that served children between the ages of six weeks and 5 years. In that capacity I supervised and facilitated the training and staff development needs of the teachers.
