Sandy Baba, Ph.D. is recognized as a staunch advocate, renowned for her commitment to cultivating inclusive learning settings catering to both children and adults. Dr. Baba’s pursuits revolve around human-centered coaching and mentoring initiatives designed to cater to practitioners operating in the realm of social services, with emphasis on the provision of mental health support. She has actively engaged in a multitude of statewide and national initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational quality rating systems. Notably, she originated a comprehensive family engagement framework geared towards providing essential support to economically disadvantaged Asian American immigrants, earning recognition from the U.S. Department of Education.

Dr. Baba has degrees in Asian Studies (B.A., University of California, Davis), Education, Child Development (M.A., San Francisco State University), and Transformative Studies in Global Education Management and Advocacy (Ph.D., California Institute of Integral Studies). Her extensive experience as a multilingual speaker, proficient in English, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cantonese and Japanese bestows upon her a profound understanding of diverse linguistic and cultural systems. This aptitude enables her to effectively address the unique requirements of a varied community. Leveraging her linguistic prowess, she is well-equipped to foster comprehension and bridge cultural gaps, thereby enhancing her ability to provide more inclusive and targeted support to the diverse groups she serves.

Dr. Baba is currently a senior adjunct professor at Pacific Oaks College, Graduate School of Human Development and Education, and board member for The Council for Professional Recognition.
